Sonoran Borders: Threads of Friendship reviewed in The Country Register
I recall the tongue-in-cheek title of an Erma Bombeck book Family: The Ties that Bind and Gag. And, certainly we all have those relationships; but we also have relationships we treasure. It's one of those casual but meaningful relationships that led to a delightful book review in The Country Register, a staple newspaper for those of us who love everything country. (That newspaper is a story in itself, founded right here in Arizona by the business and relationship savvy Barbara Floyd. If you haven't yet picked up your local copy throughout the US and Canada, look for it next time you're in a "country" business...from home goods to needlework to tea rooms.) But I digress. Publisher Barb Stillman could not have been kinder with her words or her time! Thank you, Barb! Our time is so precious and I am honored that you would lavish time not only to read Sonoran Borders: Threads of Friendship, but also to share yout thoughts so that others can experience a story and projects about timeless ties with friends near and far. The photo above is one of the samplers featured in Sonoran Borders. It is based on an 1876 sampler with those amazing borders, sweet cow and other country comforts whose appeal spans the centuries.
